Description:
At 933 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a line of strong thunderstorms 7 miles north of Clewiston, moving
east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Davie, Sunrise, Wellington, Belle Glade,
Clewiston, South Bay, Lake Harbor, Weston, Loop Road Ee Center,
Loxahatchee NWR, Belle Glade Camp, Holey Land Wildlife Refuge,
Loxahatchee Groves, Big Cypress National Preserve, Fortymile Bend,
Intersection Krome And U.S. 27, Miccosukee Indian Reservation, and
Lion Country Safari Park.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
