At 138 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Birmingham to near Vance. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Leeds, Calera, Chelsea, Montevallo, Columbiana, Wilsonville, Indian Springs Village, Vincent, Harpersville, Westover, Wilton, American Village, Oak Mountain State Park, Vandiver, Maylene, and Inverness.
