Description:
At 634 PM MDT/734 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 2 miles west of Belvidere
to 5 miles northeast of George Town to Eagle Nest Butte. Movement was
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. Dry lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Wanblee, Long Valley, Belvidere, George Town, Eagle Nest Butte, and
Intersection of Highway 73 and White River.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 159
and 174.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
