Description:
At 1139 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Shelby to 8 miles east of Chamberlain to 11 miles east
of Iona, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 1128 pm, a 62 mph wind gust
was reported in Chamberlain.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Chamberlain, Kimball, Lake Francis Case, and Pukwana.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Sioux Falls.
