Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of north central South Dakota, including the
following county, McPherson.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Numerous secondary roads remain closed due to flooding.
Although, Highways 10 and 45 are now reported to be clear of
water. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 342 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding is
occurring on secondary roads across the warned area. Between
3 and 7 inches of rain fell on Sunday.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leola, Grassland Colony, Long Lake Colony, Wetonka and Elm
Lake.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
