* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of north central South Dakota, including the following county, McPherson. * WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Local law enforcement reports that South Dakota Highway 45 is impassable from Leola and south to the county line. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1025 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
