* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central South Dakota, including the following county, McPherson. * WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 940 PM CDT, numerous basements and roads in the Leola area are flooded. SD Highway 10 near Leola is under 6 inches to a foot of water. local law enforcement reported flooding along SD Hwy 10 and other county roads. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
