Description:
At 715 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
Lafayette, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Lafayette, Rossville, Dayton, and Mulberry.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 168 and 175.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for north central
and west central Indiana.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
