At 621 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest of Irvington, or 8 miles west of Centralia, moving northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Oakdale, Okawville, Addieville, Posen, Covington, Nashville, Bartelso, New Minden, Beaucoup, Du Bois, Radom, Hoyleton, Carlyle, Ashley, Hoffman, Huey, Richview, Irvington, Wamac and Shattuc. This includes Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 41 and 61.
Instruction: 
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing widespread damaging winds. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for a portion of south central Illinois.
