...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MDT MONDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR NORTHEASTERN WYOMING AND MUCH OF WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA... .A strong cold front will move through the area later Monday afternoon and Monday evening. Ahead of the cold front, west winds will reach 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 45 mph, as minimum relative humidities drop as low as 12%. Gusty northwest winds will occur behind the cold front. The combination will lead to critical fire weather conditions Monday afternoon and early evening, especially considering antecedent very dry and warm weather as well as the drought. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 315 Southern Campbell. * WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 14 percent. * IMPACTS...The combination of gusty winds and low relative humidity would produce critical fire weather conditions.
