Description:
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon Saturday to 9 PM MDT Monday.
the Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Unseasonably Warm Temperatures...and
Strong Gusty Winds could cause erratic fire behavior.
* AFFECTED AREA:
In Central WY...Fire Weather Zone 283.
* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In Central WY...Fremont.
* WIND: West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph Saturday and
Sunday. Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph Monday.
Wind will decrease at night.
* HUMIDITY: As low as 12 percent. Poor Humidity recovery each
night.
* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s. Lows in upper 30s
to lower 40s.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
