...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON... .The combination of warmer temperatures in the mid 50s to lower 60s, very low relative humidity values between 15 to 20 percent, southwest winds gusting to 35 to 45 mph, and dry fuels will lead to critical fire weather conditions across central and southern Minnesota this afternoon and early evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Portions of central, east central, south central, southeast, and west central Minnesota. * TIMING...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * WINDS...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
