...WIDESPREAD CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS TODAY...
All-time record March heat, exceptionally low humidity, and
periods of breezy winds will drive critical fire weather
conditions this afternoon, most pronounced above 6,000 ft and west
of I-25 where winds will be strongest.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 214, 215 and 216.
* TIMING...From 11 AM this morning to 10 PM MDT this evening.
* WINDS...West 15 to 20 mph with gusts 35 to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...4 to 9 percent.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a
spark and start a wildfire.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
