...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND WESTERN PUERTO RICO, VIEQUES AND ST CROIX... .The latest observations indicated dangerous fire weather conditions across these locations, with frequent gusty winds between 20 and 30 mph, RH values ranging from 40 to 50 percent with extremely dangerous dry fuels. The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect until 4 PM AST this afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 014, 015, 018, 025, and 027.Fire weather zone 002. * WIND...East to east-southeast at 15 to 23 mph, with stronger gusts around 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...Relative humidity values from the mid 40 to low 50s. * IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
