Description:
At 535 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19
miles southeast of Wellsville, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Elkland, Westfield, Harrison Valley, Knoxville, Ulysses, and Osceola.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
north central Pennsylvania.
