Description:
At 303 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 34
miles east of St. Marys, moving east southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Wharton, Cross Fork, Leetonia, Cherry Springs State Park, Cedar Run,
Ole Bull State Park, and Slate Run.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
north central Pennsylvania.
