Description:
At 704 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Elkhart to 13 miles north
of Conlen to 13 miles southwest of Ware. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Dalhart, Stratford, Hartley, Eva, Ware, Hough, Conlen, Griggs,
Texhoma, and Sturgis.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
the Panhandle of Oklahoma...and the Panhandle of Texas.
