Description:
At 225 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ripley, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ripley, Elizabeth, Ravenswood, Sandyville, Reedy, Mount Alto, Cherry,
Peewee, Palestine, Cottageville, Lucille, Evans, Creston, Morristown,
Rockport, Annamoriah, and Leroy.
This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 135
and 165.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southeastern Ohio...and western, central, north central and
northwestern West Virginia.
