...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers...
Raccoon Creek near Granville.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Raccoon Creek near Granville.
* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 14 feet, portions of the TJ Evans bike trail are
nearly flooded, with buildings near the Granville Water Plant
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 10.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 13.5 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage early this evening.
- Flood stage is 13 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
