Description:
At 828 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of
Fortuna, or 15 miles west of Crosby, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Fortuna, Writing Rock State Historical Site, Alkabo and Ambrose.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
