...RED FLAG WARNING FOR FAR WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA THURSDAY... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected over far western North Dakota Thursday afternoon and evening. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the lower to mid 90s, while humidity values drop as low as 15 percent. This will combine with south winds around 25 mph gusting to 45 mph to result in critical fire weather conditions. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ to 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/ Thursday. * WINDS...South 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Far western North Dakota. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress. * AFFECTED AREA...Far western North Dakota.
