...RED FLAG WARNING FOR WESTERN AND MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH THIS EVENING... .Critical fire weather conditions will develop today and continue into this evening across western and much of central North Dakota. Minimum relative humidity values will fall as low as 15 percent, and northwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 40 mph possible. In addition, scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms could develop late this afternoon and evening, possibly producing erratic and stronger wind gusts. Any fires that ignite could spread rapidly and become difficult to control. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect until 10 PM CDT /9 PM MDT/ this evening. * WINDS...Northwest around 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Western and much of central North Dakota. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
