At 745 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Smithfield, Clinton, and Goldsboro. These storms
were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Goldsboro, Smithfield, Clinton, Mount Olive, Benson, Fremont, Walnut
Creek, Selma, Four Oaks, and Pine Level.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 101 and 79.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 327 and 358.
