Description:
At 256 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Topsail, or 11 miles southeast of Burgaw. This thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hampstead, White Stocking, Topsail, Ashton, Woodside, and Edgecomb.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 404 and 406.
