Description:
At 234 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Scotts Hill, or near Rich Inlet, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hampstead, Topsail, Woodside, Rocky Point, and Scotts Hill.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 408 and 412.
