At 145 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Mill Creek, or 7 miles northwest of Snows Cut. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Wilmington, Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Snows Cut, Boiling Spring Lakes, Bishop, Mill Creek, Myrtle Grove, Silver Lake, Town Creek, Sea Breeze, University Of North Carolina At Wilmington, Winnabow, Kings Grant, Masonboro, Belville, Bolivia, and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
