Expires:

Description:
The combination of low relative humidity values of 25 to 30 percent, periodic gusts up to 20 to 30 mph, and dry fuels will lead to an increased fire danger today over northern and western portions of central North Carolina. Dry grasses, dead leaves, and other tree litter could easily ignite and spread fire quickly. People in this area are urged to properly dispose of cigarette butts, matches, and any other flammable items in appropriate containers. Exercise caution if operating any equipment that could create sparks, and keep vehicles off of dry leaves and grass. A burn ban remains in place for Forsyth, Guilford, Davidson, Randolph, Alamance, Chatham, Stanly, Montgomery, Moore, and Anson counties. Open burning of any kind is illegal.
