At 1052 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Mechanicville, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Mechanicville, Salem, Manchester, Cambridge, Greenwich, Round Lake,
Manchester Center, Gates, Malta, Porter, Lee, Northumberland, Easton,
Stillwater, Schuylerville, Rupert, Victory, Schaghticoke, Valley
Falls, and Sandgate.
This includes Interstate 87 near exit 12.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
