At 723 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Smithville Flats to Sanitaria Springs to near Hallstead to near Springville. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Binghamton, Norwich, Kirkwood, Conklin, Sidney, Jackson, Guilford, Clifford, Sanford, and Susquehanna.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
