Description:
At 633 PM MDT, surface observations indicated a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 5 miles north of Ute Lake State Park to
near Quay, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Surface observations. Tucumcari Municipal Airport measured a
54 mph gust at 6:18 PM MDT.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Tucumcari, Logan, San Jon and Ute Lake State Park.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 332 and 359.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
