Description:
At 626 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers capable
of producing strong winds over La Bajada, or 19 miles southwest of
Santa Fe, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Southwestern Santa Fe, Eldorado At Santa Fe, La Cienega, La Bajada,
Cerrillos Hills State Park, Los Cerrillos, Madrid, Cochiti Pueblo
and Agua Fria.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 285 near Mile Marker 286. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers
259 and 280.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
