Description:
At 524 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles southeast of Raton Crews Airport, or 20 miles south of Raton,
moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of West Central Union and East Central Colfax
Counties.
This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 430 and 436.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
