At 445 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms extending from 17 miles northeast of Des Moines to 11 miles northeast of Seneca, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Clayton Lake State Park and Moses. This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 417 and 418.
Instruction: 
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times. Frequent lightning and damaging winds are likely from this storm, but little rain will reach the ground.
