At 123 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles south of Hondo, or 20 miles east of Ruidoso, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Tinnie, Hondo and San Patricio. This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 105 and 107.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times.
