SVRABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... North Central Guadalupe County in east central New Mexico... * Until 830 PM MDT. * At 750 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles northeast of Santa Rosa Lake State Park, or 11 miles northeast of Santa Rosa, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Cuervo and Santa Rosa Lake State Park. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 279 and 292.
Instruction: 
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. If on or near Santa Rosa Lake, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
