East Central Quay County in east central New Mexico... * Until 630 PM MDT. * At 539 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast of San Jon, or 31 miles east of Tucumcari, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... San Jon and Bard. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 357 and 373.
