...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MDT FRIDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS, THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU, WEST CENTRAL BASIN, AND RANGE... .Strong south-southwest winds combined with low humidity and dry fuels will create a greater risk for rapid fire spread from any new sparks over much of western New Mexico Friday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...West Central Mountains (Zone 105). * TIMING...From noon to 8 PM MDT Friday. * 20 FOOT WINDS...South to southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative humidity between 10 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
