...MULTI DAY RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR
GUSTY WINDS AND EXTREMELY DRY CONDITIONS...
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 434 through 437 (Nebraska
panhandle).
* WIND...For Wednesday, south winds at 15 to 20 MPH with gusts up
to 40 MPH. For Thursday, northwest winds 20 to 25 MPH with gusts
up to 45 MPH. For Friday, northwest winds 15 to 20 MPH with
gusts up to 30 MPH.
* HUMIDITY...For Wednesday, 12 to 16 percent. For Thursday and
Friday, 5 to 10 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a slight chance for scattered
showers and storms Wednesday afternoon and evening. The main
concern with these storms will be gusty and erratic winds as
well as dry lightning. Additionally, poor overnight humidity
recoveries can be expected Wednesday and Thursday night.
