...RED FLAG WARNING CONTINUES THROUGH THURSDAY FOR PORTIONS OF THE HIGH PLAINS... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 430, 431, AND 437... The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Friday evening. * AFFECTED AREA... Fire weather zones 430, 431, and 437. * WIND... For the Red Flag Warning, west to northwest winds gusting 40 to 60 mph. For the Fire Weather Watch, west to southwest winds gusting 30 to 35 mph. * HUMIDITY... For the Red Flag Warning, 12 to 20 percent. For the Fire Weather Watch, 15 to 20 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Expect humidity recoveries only to around 35 to 45% Thursday morning with occasional wind gusts of 40 to 60 mph anticipated. Much better humidity recoveries Thursday into Friday, likely over 80 percent.
