Description: 
At 659 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles southeast of Medicine Lake, or 38 miles north of Mullen, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Kilgore, Nenzel, Crookston, Schoolhouse Lake, Steer Creek Campground, and Anderson Bridge State Wildlife Management Area. This includes Highway 20 between mile markers 162 and 189.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Lightning is occurring with this storm. With limited accompanying rainfall, rangeland fire starts due to lightning strikes are possible. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in North Platte.
