At 620 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles northeast of Lindsay to 2 miles northeast of Platte Center to 5 miles west of Lakeview, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Weather Instruments measured 60 mph wind at several locations, including 4 miles south of Monroe. Power lines were down in Fullerton and Genoa. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe storms will be near... Humphrey and Creston around 625 PM CDT. Madison around 630 PM CDT.
