* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches at lower elevations and 8 inches in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and southwest Montana. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Tire chains may be required for some vehicles if traveling through mountain passes. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will continue to fall to lower elevations through this morning.
