* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 20 expected during the early mornings in the Flathead and Mission Valleys. Areas adjacent to Flathead Lake may see a range from 25 to 31 degrees. There is a 25% chance for a hard freeze, less than 25 degrees, in the colder areas including West Valley and the Mission Valley. * WHERE...Flathead/Mission Valleys. * WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation. Possible damage to unprotected outdoor plumbing and irrigation systems with the hard freeze. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...For Saturday morning, the combination of cloud cover towards the Continental Divide, and light easterly winds through the canyons could prevent the coldest temperatures from occurring. For Sunday morning, the easterly winds could be a little bit stronger and there could be a bit more cloud cover over the Flathead Valley. Additional frosts or freezes are possible through Wednesday.
