At 1144 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Carthage, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Carthage, Sarcoxie, Carytown, Fidelity, Avilla, La Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Reeds, Maple Grove, and Dudenville. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 14 and 36.
