River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Maries River near Westphalia. * WHEN...Until late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...At 12.1 feet, The north end of County Road 521 begins flooding adjacent to the river near this height. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:02 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:02 PM CDT Monday was 11.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this evening and continue falling to 2.3 feet Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.
