At 139 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm with very heavy rain near East Lincoln, or 7 miles east of Brookhaven, moving north at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Brookhaven and Sontag around 145 PM CDT. Wesson and Beauregard around 150 PM CDT.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
