Description: 
At 441 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles southwest of State Line to near New Augusta to near Morgantown. Movement was south at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Hattiesburg, Columbia, McLaurin, and Pine Ridge around 445 PM CDT. Purvis around 450 PM CDT. Brooklyn, Rock Hill, and Pine Burr around 455 PM CDT. Pickwick around 500 PM CDT. Baxterville around 505 PM CDT. Maxie around 510 PM CDT. Lumberton around 515 PM CDT.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central and southeastern Mississippi.
