Description:
At 937 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Blue Mountain,
or 9 miles north of New Albany, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
New Albany, Ripley, Blue Mountain, Keownville, Hickory Flat, Myrtle,
Dumas, Cotton Plant, Murry, Graham, Concord, Alpine, Pumpkin Center,
Molino, Clarysville, Locum, and Smalco.
This includes Interstate 22 in Mississipppi between mile markers 47
and 58.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
storm shelter or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
