Description: 
At 841 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Wabasha to near Rollingstone to 7 miles northwest of Rushford. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near... Winona, Wabasha, Alma, Buffalo, Goodview, Lewiston, Buffalo City, Fountain City, Stockton, and Rollingstone around 845 PM CDT. Modena around 850 PM CDT. Arcadia around 900 PM CDT. Mondovi around 905 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Pioneer Campground, Merrick State Park, Czechville, Lock And Dam 5 A, Dodge, Wyattville, Perrot State Park, Cream, Highway 88 And County O, and Ridgeway. This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 240 and 265.
Instruction: 
If on the water, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm. Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until these storms pass. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for southeastern Minnesota.
