At 552 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near St. James, or 23 miles south of New Ulm, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Echols, South Branch, St. James, St James Airport, Grogan, Lewisville and Madelia.
Instruction: 
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm has produced dangerous hail and is capable of producing damaging winds. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Monday for a portion of south central Minnesota.
